NYC Family

No, we do not have any "blood" family here in NYC.  No cousins to play with or Grandmas to babysit.  A lot of people ask me if it is hard to live across the country from our families and of course I reply YES because I love my family (and my in-laws) so so so much and would love to spend more time with them.  With that said, we have been adopted into a new family out here.  A family that spends days walking through Central Park, crowded in someone's tiny apartment for a play date, going on adventures in the city, throwing birthday parties and baby showers, making the trek to the beach, meeting at playgrounds just so we can chat about the latest happenings, and so many other activities.  We have made the best friends out here and they are truly our family.  A good chunk of our friends have had babies within the last year or so, therefore Scott has so many little friends.  There are so many people out here who love my little Scott and it makes me happy and grateful.  Thank you friends for making this crazy city home for us.  We are so happy and so blessed to spend our time with so many of you fabulous, talented people!  Here is a tribute to tiny friends!

I think that is one of the best things about living in NYC. People come together in ways that they might not in other places. I'm so glad you have found such good friends! We miss all of our "family" in NYC so much!

I saw the second photo of all the kids on the couch and thought for a split second that the girl with all the hair was Harper. And I was thinking, I don't remember taking this shot! haha
